At the end of the season the fisher started hitting our box’s. My buddy still couldn’t get another ermine, baits we’re always missing with rat trap set off, he was getting quite frustrated…hahaha.

Lol they can be tricky sometimes! I was hoping for 20 Marten, but ran out of time. Maybe next year I’ll start in December. Not much Fisher sign this year. Cold as ice!

There was hunters along one of my trails until there was too much snow, a week into December.

If the Marten are there in November, they will be there December, January and February. They’re easy to catch, so may as well wait for the hunters to clear out, and more consistent cold weather by that time. For now though, off to Lake Winnipeg!! Cold as ice!
