A science professor at a university, he's actually righting a book about ice age black bears he said this is the second largest he's ever seen.

So there are two ice age bears. Did he say which one this is ?

So he said black bear,I'm pretty sure he said before ice age, I quizzed him on cave bear and grizzly he didn't budge, said it was black bear and he had only seen one bigger than that.

Good question. The climate of mo does not seem conducive to long term preservation of bones. What sort of ground did you find it?

Creek wash out,the head of it was 1.5 miles away.

Well that head would really tell the story. Picture time
Many times animals get washed up and deposited in say eddies of rivers.
Found one in the south western corner ofNorth Dakota that had 30 individuals deposited in it, that was 40 years ago from a deposite of 40-50 million years ago.

The deposites of that specimen are sure interesting
