Contains No Erythritol I’m trying some now I’ll need to find the right mix not sure what I like the best yet, the sugar looking stuff comes pre measured in packets so that easier to measure VS counting drops I’ll need to find a easier way to measure it out. The liquid taste is not bad but flatter so far compared to the pre measured packets maybe the Erythritol added flavor? It takes the bitter edge off of the coffee I’ll keep trying more drops to see if it sweetens things up any.
I looked into the sugar like looking monk fruit sweetener for the heck of it and it has Erythritol added like Stevia to get that crystalized look to it. So not sure why the article targeted Stevia alone and not the additive they are concerned about. So did the mean the combo is bad it reads like Erythritol was the main concern from what I gathered.
Still better then using sugar a guy can only give up so much I’m going to use it until I hear more, with non sugar sweeteners becoming more popular it might just be a hit job either way the story was not well written. IMO Anybody know if eggs and butter are till good for us this week? LOL

Most folks are are concerned about high cholesterol and are careful when consuming fatty foods,,,, but some still don’t know that too many carbohydrates are just as dangerous. Unused carbs raise triglyceride levels in the body,, which can lead to plauqe buildup as well. I have seriously cut the carbs out of my diet after learning how high my triglycerides were and that I have plaque buildup in my carotid artery and aorta and those arteries. I didn’t know until last fall I had all that going on.
I usually eat oatmeal, cheerios or bran flakes with orange juice for breakfast,,, and supper usually consists of chicken, turkey or fish… along with deer and beaver meat. Any thing that I want sweetened I use stevia. I had read that it’s believed stevia can also help reduce triglycerides.

I get Sweet Leaf, in a liquid dropper bottle. 1 oz bottles with eye dropper to measure. They are flavoured with natural things, coconut, chocolate, vanilla cream, hazelnut, etc...and make my coffee perfect, and anything else.
Straight stevia , I really don't care for, but the Sweet Leaf with natural added flavours is the ticket for me.
Got the cup about empty and gave it a few more drops to see if I could sweeten it up more and it did almost too sweet so at least I know what I’m working with here. I’ll try it with a fresh cup in the morning using a teaspoon to measure it out and go from there.

which is good if you can process it , but a life of to many doughnuts and pasta has put the law dog and myself in a place were it is cut the sugar and carbs or start pumping syringes of insulin.
I went to just cream in my coffee

I found a few fairly reliable sources that debunked the Erythritol scare. The study was bogus in fact its good for you. I am sure someone in the government or food industry started that rumor.
They dont want people to get healthy its bad for business, and their agenda. Thas why they are saying eat whole grains, oatmeal and brown rice to fight diabetes. That will make you diabetic for sure. Cut out all grains. Remember what they did banning other forms of covid treatments right ?
Erythritol works great for people losing weight. I used it myself. Its supposed to made out of monk fruit. My only complaint is its from China.
With the up and coming non chemical sweeteners becoming popular I’d expect the fake sweetener folks will start defending their markets more this could be the case. I thought that would happen sooner but my thought is the big companies are locked into purchase agreements they can’t back out of. Also if they wait it will look like they held back for safety reasons until it’s a proven product.
If it turns out to be safe for everyone it could change the food industry and the health of this overweight Nation. Would I take it if I could still eat sugar heck no I like me some sugar I’d still be hitting the donuts and cake meals. LOL

Strolling thru Walmart, I don't think there's a large % of folks who really care about their overall health. That takes a certain amount of self-discipline. I tip my hat to anyone who has it. As for myself, I'd like to gain a few pounds. I weighed in at 171 last trip to the Dr and I told them their scale is off........I ain't never weighed that much! As it was I had my clod-hoppers on which added about 5# to my honest weight.

foxkidd44, If you are trying to cut carbs out of your diet the breakfast you listed is about as bad as it can get. ALL of those are carbs which are turned into glucose (after eating), orange juice is full of sugar. Read the label.
Bacon and eggs would be better. No insulin spike.
For all of you folks that mention honey or maple syrup........it's all sugar. I agree, they taste great. Occasionally as a treat might be ok, but not every day.
If anyone is attempting to get better blood test results, i.e. Hb A1c and IR numbers you need to look at the number of carbs and the listing of sugar content on EVERY label.
As many cardiologists recommend, if it has more that 7 grams of sugar, don't eat it.
And stay under 130 grams of carbs per day max. Under 80 would be a lot better. Add more fat to your diet.
Use butter like our grandparents did, whole milk (which really isn't WHOLE milk anymore), leave the fat on the meat. Bacon ain't going to kill ya. Sugar will.

Every day I use Stevia (powdered) from Trader Joes. It's $9.99 I think and lasts me about 6 months if I use it only in coffee/tea. It better be 100% Stevia. I've used it for many years now.
Picture below is from the Internet, but it's the one I use.

Tried to measure with a tea spoon today way to sweet 1/2 a tea spoon was way to much poured out 1/2 of that added more coffee to the cup it’s better but I will cut way back on the next cup and see does not take much liquid Stevia.
The honey and maple syrup will spike your sugar orange juice will also with oranges your digesting the pulp of the fruit but pure juice your not slowing digestion your speeding things up.
