How do you store those for 5 years?

I found some morels and bolete shrooms I had dried in the 1990's a year or so ago. I'd put them in zip-locs, then put the bags inside a popcorn tin like you can get around Christmas time........I wasn't about to toss them without at least trying to rehydrate some........they were GREAT! I think the oldest bag was 26 years old. They were stored crunchy dry, in sealed plastic, and inside that tin in the dark. I still have a meal or two worth of them yet. Around here they usually get eaten up within months, so the problem was never a quality thing, but rather a case of us never having to worry about long term storage because we went through them fast. This popcorn tin had been stuffed way in behind a bunch of old kitchen stuff we had stored away(pots and pans we had extras of), so was out of sight and, obviously, out of mind.
