Great fishery
You're right about losing your spots I guess the spots and he ability to fish them are worth more to me than the money id get from showing them to people. That may change in time, but for now its a hard no to guiding. I have taken people new to fishing out before for free though.

Nice Perch.I just caught 50 of those the other day all between 10" and 14". Full of eggs ,yours look like they are also.If I don't eat the eggs myself,,I feed them to my chickens.Gives them needed winter protein.

Awesome!! Is that a Bass mixed in with those Crappies? Good eye. That's a white perch. Pretty rare here. My first actually. Cool! I didn’t know they were in Ontario. Just read a bit about them.

Nice Perch.I just caught 50 of those the other day all between 10" and 14". Full of eggs ,yours look like they are also.If I don't eat the eggs myself,,I feed them to my chickens.Gives them needed winter protein. There were some bachelor brothers that lived near me. They used to scramble the perch eggs in chicken eggs for breakfast.

Was actually pleasant, although not what youd expect. I think a bit of seasoning and theyd be really good.

Great pics Hutchy! Glad to hear you aren't going to guide people to your spots-everyone I know who guides ice fishing says the same thing you did-they all go back and burn them out.Perch are so much fun-that line of perch was probably delicious-my favorite fish to eat! My sister was in from out of town. Battered and deep fried. A big hit!

Hutchy ya ever guide any folks? Actually did when I was younger, but don't now. My fishing buddy guides on the side and regrets taking a few people out because a lot of his spots are burned now. There's hordes of Toronto area fishermen who come here already, don't want more. I feel like showing other people all the spots I've learned over the years wouldn't be worth the money. I fished crappie in a bay where I caught 100 fish yesterday. I was the only person there. If I took people there it would be decimated in three years. Yeah that makes good sense, I do appreciate the pictures I can't catch em like you do!
