I'd wager the majority of Trapperman forum's american citizens
who are against assisting Ukraine are former military
veterans, or have sons, daughters, or relatives who
are currently active duty military, or reserve/national guard.

Most don't want to see any kind of shooting war with
Russia, China, or anyone for that matter
and I don't blame them.

Nothing good comes from war.....nothing.

If we are dragged into one, or have no choice
but to fight to defend our country fine, but only as a last resort.

On the other hand, could we successfully be an isolationist nation
if the rest of the globe descended into world war ?

If we had stayed out of World War II after Pearl Harbor
how would things have ended up ?

If we had let Europe and Asia fight their own wars
would we have been the next nation to fall after
the Nazis & the Japs finished mopping up ?

Not sure we can be the next neutral Sweden or Switzerland

You all think we should sit back and let global issues solve themselves. We'll, that's the same mindset this country, all of Europe, and much of Asia thought back in the 1930's. History repeats itself as it is right now.....in Europe.
Russia needs to stop all hostilities, withdraw their forces and all leaders need to work out a realistic peace plan here.

Probably something like the Korean conflict or the Vietnam fiasco.

Why can't all of western and now most of eastern Europe solve this problem? They either don't perceive it as a problem, or know we will solve it for them on our dime, not theirs.

Look at the history of the first gulf war and how the beneficiary nations of the U.S.. war machine ponied up a pile of money to the U.S. for saving their arse.

At this point NATO would destroy Russia in a matter of a few days to a week. Putin might get a few nukes off but they probably won't make it to the US. The Uke's are holding their own at this point and I guarantee Pukin won't ever get the chance to control and place nukes in Ukraine. Like I said before, Pukin most likely will be dead by next year and the Chinese will be kissing our hind ends.
