If you put an "n" after dam, it then is a cuss word that gets filtered. Beavers don't make dams with an "n" on the end - lol.

I know tearing out DAMS i usually end up using words worse than dam with a n on the end.

Like I tell the fisheries folks who want to see beaver dams on every stream…sorry, but many beavers just don’t give a dam!

So, the sale: I’m a little worried as there are not many buyers here. There were cancellations from a few for various reasons. The weather was really bad the last day or so. I almost became intimate with a snow bank myself early this morning! But others fared worse, saw a few spin outs on 97.

There are some gorgeous cats here. My poor western Oregon cats are nothing compared to these huge white spotted beauts.

Not a huge amount of fur but there is a good mix. No many coyotes, word is out there. Probably 300 beaver, 80 otters or so. Must be a couple hundred cats or more.

Klamath used to be the clean up sale in the west. Last one of the season with fur coming from many different states. I can remember Klamath being 3 full long days. Lots and lots of fur and more buyers than we had table space for. Including lots of craft buyers.

Several years back - not sure exactly when, maybe 2020 when COVID first started. - something changed. I think Klamath was canceled that year because the fairgrounds was closed. That hurt the trappers that held fur for that sale.

About the same time, idaho Trappers Association got their act together and started putting on good sales. Just 2 weeks before Klamath. They attracted a fair number of out of state sellers and started handling a lot of craft items.

I hate to say it, but it seems to me the Glenn’s Ferry sale the middle of March has become the cleanup sale in the west.

I’m bummed this is happening because I’ve been a supporter of OTC since the get go (1973) but things change.

Yes when I was last there they had 3 days -huge sale. Antique and user traps, antlers, trapping equipment and a lot more stuff than I can remember. Fur from all over. Many tables full. Pretty interesting sale then. That's why I asked what was there today. To bad the sale has gone down hill.

But we did get free pizza , drinks and cake. OTC’ s 50th birthday this year!

And if HB 3390 passes ( please see Oregon needs your help) it will be the last OTC sale .

Well the state keep electing democrat's and the rural people have lost their power. Its a real shame. Portland was such a nice city and now its a disgrace.

We will beat this bill just like many other anti-trapping bills we have faced.

OTC was always where i shipped my nutria's every year, ONLY place i could sell them alot of years.
