Mental illness is the problem. Whether by choice of suddenly wanting attention and choosing to become gay/trans. it could also be caused by a chemical imbalance from a medical or pharmaceutical problem. It could also be caused by poor/lacking parental involvement/guidance.
Either way, the gun didn't do it. A deranged person of unstable mental acuity decided to kill 9 year old children and adults.
The real problem is mental health. To lift up and legitimize a confused mental health state as normal and not expect serious and severe reactions and complications is a detachment from reality.
Sadly, this can be directly blamed on the left. Legitimizing and not seeking or offering mental help for someone who is so confused as to want to wear the opposite sex clothing or become the opposite sex is tragic. Kids who say they are suddenly trans are seeking attention they are not getting from home, friends or parents. It is a mental state of loneliness and confusion so they find some path, any path, to get attention. Only one party is legitimizing this behavior and ignoring its horrible effects on our society.
All in the name of getting re-elected and then blaming the problem on an inanimate object that can only do evil in an evil person's hands of their creation. Pure evil.
How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?

The school is a Christian school. The murderer was a biological female that had a delusion she was a male. Instead of addressing her mental illness as just that I suspect the school filled her head with religious tripe about how her delusion was evil. Told her she would be set on fire and tortured for eternity. I am not making excuses for her crime. Just pointing out that bronze age perceptions of the world need to change. You sound like Christopher Hitchens. Have you ever watched him debate Christians?

So how is it they choose mental illness?
Just yesterday a judge released a man from a mental hospital. Apparently he is considered no longer a danger to him self or others. This man some 30 years ago I believe it was. Shot the priest that married my wife and I. The priest that baptized both my children. Shot him point blank in the face by alter with a shotgun not an AR. Killed two others with his shogun before he got to the priest. Cops grabbed him up couple blocks away walking down street with gun on his shoulder like was just going for a walk. I don't know what his religion or politics were or are. Don't think he was gay or trans? But he was most certainly considered mental ill and was locked up in a mental hospital/prison. Killed 3 people close range with shotgun. Said voice in his head made him do it. So I guessing than that if this judge now thinks this man can be back out in public. He must have found Jesus? Clear the devil's voice and replaced it with the voice of God?
So tell me how they choose mental illness? Anymore than to be addicted to drugs or alcohol?
I'm not posting a link. If you think I'm full crap. Google (Brian Stanley. Onlaska WI.) Should find plenty about it. Was all over the now fake news back in the day.

He's out? The lay minister that was killed was a good friend's father. This isn't good.

Apparently our favorite judge Ramona is letting him move to Eau Claire. Not allowed in the area. I did not know Mr Hammes, but I had met Mr Roth on more than one occasion. I was a first responder at the time could leave for the call because I was home alone with the kids. I listened to it all on scanner and my cousin was one of the first in the church. Bad deal all way around. Mac

There are a few gays at my firm. I went to school with a couple of gays. I don't think I know anyone who is trans but I have seen a few while at the store.
It's a weird lifestyle. I don't know what causes it and don't really care. The ones I actually know have jobs, pay taxes and contribute to society. I agree, it's weird regardless.
While I too am tired of their lifestyle being forced on me, some of y'all need to calm down.
You don't want people telling you how to live but are quick to tell others how you think they should do it.
That mindset cuts both ways--guns, hunting, trapping, etc. Plenty of people think you would have to be mentally ill to trap a cute coyote. WOW! Chris

This is not going to get any better folks there is a huge disconnect in many families today has been for a while now. Kids are not being taught even basic life coping skills not even in schools at times. Dinners with the family is a thing of the past few lesson opportunities to be had even. Empathy, remorse, kindness and community are now replaced with electronics in a child’s life. There is almost no human interaction today the main communication is done by phone even if you’re 3 feet apart.

Danny, that church is a Presbyterian Church of America congregation. Look up their position of LGBT and other theological positions such as ordaining females. Exactly opposite what you claim. So, what is YOUR issue with God?

Umm, this school only goes through the 6th grade. It was 28 years old. Kinda far removed from whatever it heard in this school. Besides, you got any evidence that it was "trans" in the 6th grade or just more atheistic tripe?

Warrior your analysis on what the perp was not taught is likely spot on given the false doctrine of the Presbyterian church.

So then not knowing such things your saying Presbyterians are not really true Christians?? Or just miss guided in their studies? Years ago I politely ran some Mormons out of my in-laws yard. Told them the family was all Catholic and they didn't need to leave their literature. To which I was told by one young man. I too once had the wrong religion until I found my way. That's when I politely told them find your way off the property.. So that leaves same old question who's way is right or wrong.. Mac

It teaches such things as marriage is between one man and one woman. The Presbyterian church doesn't hold to this biblical teaching just being one example of false teaching.
