Alaska fish and game has been working on bringing back woodland buffalo along the Yukon river and they are looking at possibly releasing up to 100 from the village here, would be nice for my kids to be able to hunt them in the future.

My kid had a Delta Bison tag in 13/14. We got a bull last weekend of March. These animals often spend the winter in and around the Delta Jct. farmlands. Bull was healthy and fat. They have a big body but the legs aren't that big. Bones aren't as big as Moose. Just because an animal has gone thru the winter doesn't mean they are skinny and poor eating.

It's no wonder trapping hunting, and guns are loosing ground legally each year. The recurve hunters look down at the compound hunters, the compound hunter look down at the x bow hunters, ect. To busy figuring amongst our self to see we are all outdoor people with comon goals. As long as it's legal why dose anything else matter be happy for each other. Mybway is better than yours I'm more better hunter ect. It's nonsense and on full display.

Man you hit the nail on the head I could careless how something is harvested or by method used if it is legal in your state , heck you couldn't kill a deer in south Texas without corn to draw them out of head high brush it would still be a fun hunt for me .

1000 pounds of meat!!! Our Pa deer are 35 pounds and the western elk that we have shot ( mostly 2-3 year olds) are 5 packs of 40 pounds - not counting the cape and antlers. That is a big animal. We mostly debone everything......jk

When you pull the trigger on a bison hunt it has only just begun. IT is referring to all the hard work

I see in a picture they have a tri=pod for lifting the legs for the skinning operation. That is thinking ahead
