If rod and bore is smooth seal kit is way to go, probably less than 100. Been a few years since I worked in Hydraulics but wouldn't be surprised if a new cylinder would be pushing $1000 or more.

I just paid north of $3000 for a boom cyl. for my log truck I use in the mill yard.

We use TTI in Fruitland for hydraulic work. Just had two done for the sprayer. I’ll have to check the bill so I don’t tell you wrong. It was expensive to rebuild but still a lot cheaper than new cylinders

Re did Bobcat tilt cylinder yesterday. Used the old punch and hammer to get cap started loose and finished with big pipe wrench. Put new seal kit on and put her back together. Retightening the cap with pipe wrench…it slipped and gave me 3 stitches. No loose teeth luckily enough. Maybe use that wrench if ya can. Or at least push away from your mug! [Linked Image]
