small rural farm town

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Old "whistle stop" town on the Macon/Atlanta line. Established before the war between the states later a truck farm community, peach orchards, for Atlanta. Incorporated as a one mile map dot around the turn of the century but now about to be unincorporated as the two guys who took turns being mayor are in their eighties and no one wants the job. Agriculture moved south of Macon and the community is getting sold off and rented out.

I'm looking for the exit myself.

5 acres surrounded by farmland,Lake Michigan 1/2 mile away, can still wizz off the front porch BUT,with today's Hybrid vehicles and more traffic now than 25 years ago when we bought it you got to be careful

Right! I live on 160 acres and no one is within shotgun range. I keep a rifle handy for "neighbors" like you.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Smack almost in the middle of 160 acre farm. Got 6 whitetail deer in my hay field as we speak. A dozen deer yesterday and a moose. No shortage of elk, black bear, grizzly bear, moose, mule deer, whitetail deer, wolves and coyotes right here at home. Pee in the yard, shoot my rifle, grow a garden. Quad and skidoo right from home. Were a 1/2 mile from crownland and 12 miles from the nearest town. Just the way I like it.

Crown land? Is that Canadian government land or owned by the British still? I'm not educated on Canadian/British separation. I'm guessing Canadian public land with a hold over name?

Sounds very nice regardless.

Yessir. Public land. 3/4 mile quad ride and then I'm in the bush. If you're ever venturing north look me up. I'm not far from the mile 0 of the Alaska hwy.

I live 450 miles NW of Anchorage, in a Eskimo village of around 800. Fly in only. House is the last house going out of town. Right on the bank of the Yukon River. I can park my boat right in front of the house and can fish right from the front yard.

I have bears and moose, wolves and lynx, fox in the yard, other critters.

Unspoiled wilderness in every direction.
