Looking to get a storage container for my bulky junk, trapping gear and truck parts so I have some elbow room in my buildings. Pro vs Cons of them, longevity of the containers, 20” or 40” foot or 2 40 footers? Freezers, table saws taking up space also that I don’t use that much only in spurts.
Once I finish the fur shed this summer I will have some project trucks to work on and finish up more if I find them. LOL

Looking around they seem like the way to go vs a new garage build even a 1 car premade shed is twice as much as a container. The wife priced a 3 car metal garage during the pandemic that was about $65,000 with 2 doors and storage on both sides cheaper now maybe. The metal container is complete, waterproof, well built and ventilation would be simple.

I did a search and looks like you can buy all the 40 footers you want for under $2000.00 Don't know about delivery costs. Do a search in your area.

Looks to be roughly 2-4 thousand a container before delivery but those are internet listed numbers I’d expect higher real number. Seen one in a smaller town here last year they wanted 9 grand for it.

I had one shipped to the village to store our valuables in while we're out in the bush, keeps the methheads from stealing all our stuff. I bought a really good lock and they've tried to cut it off a few times but so far so good. Definately was worth buying for us and gives us piece of mind...................................

I have 2 both 40 footers one is long term storage like keepsakes and stuff we are not using anytime soon. The mine which is most hunting and camping stuff. And some meat processing equipment.
The 20 cost almost as much as a 40 footer. Get 2 and put a roof on them and have a dry spot between for even more junk i mean treasures kol.
I dryer then most places so no condensation and dust/ pest proof is the best . I have a 20 footer but wish I had two. I would roof them over and create another covered area in between......like a carport. My only complaint is that they get very hot inside.Might consider that before storing certain items

I have a 40' with shelving in half and a rail on each wall in the other half for hang up storage. I also made a fold down ramp and store my lawnmower and wheelers in it. It does get hot but I have never had any condensation issues. It does have some ventilation but not a lot. Very secure and keeps things out of sight. I bought mine from and individual that no longer needed it and I think I paid $500 to get it moved about 12 miles and dropped where I wanted it. I did the leveling and blocking up myself. Would have been less but had to have a wrecker to get the flatbed close enough to it to get it loaded.
Not attractive but good dry storage.

Pro for me, almost impossible to break into Con, a little narrow for me tough getting one thing just out of the back being long and narrow. Learn early on to put everything against sides and leave a walkway as wide as possible
