Never heard of a calf referred to as a bratt. Is that a misprint or for real?

If you're around Jersey cow's calves you would figure out real quick, they check every gate you walk through every door you walk tru every tool you lay down. By the time there ready to butcher you're glad to see them go. But sayn that my pups a bratty as well.

Dexters are Jersey like and almost smaller so we will see how the calf develops. Yes to the curiosity and "mischef" of the Jerseys and Dexters. They are like mink they will stick their nose into any hole and they are quick as well. Quite trainable however when they choose to be. It will be interesting when the dam wants to wean the calf later this fall. Could get a little wild in the pasture. When you let the calf with the dam for any length of time and pull the calf away it can get noisy for a few days to a week. We go through that when weaning our lambs.
