For the experts in the matter. Y'all happen to know if they have any M88a1 or m88a2A2 Hercules over here and if so how many and what are they using them for primarily Really ? You really want to know about what tanks are being used in a war that shouldn't have been in the first place? Follow the money going into our governments pockets ! Then you'll get a better picture of what's really happening.

Wolfie didn't show any photos of his M88A1 so here it is. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M88_Recovery_VehicleTo answer his question, no I haven't seen any of these in action or blown up in videos or stills that I've seen. The Ukies didn't get than many, maybe a dozen or so, probably not out there all that much. But who really knows. A more important question might be where's General Zaluzhny, head of the AFU? He hasn't been seen in public for over a month. The rumors are that he and the Ukie ground commander got hammered in a Rus missile strike on a command post a ways back from the southern front. Both were supposedly badly wounded and Zaluzhny has either died from his wounds or is basically a veg on life support. He was also reported to be a leading replacement for when George Washington/Winston Churchill Zelinsky out lived his usefulness or OD on his nose candy. Maybe little Ze man has the general under house arrest. Ze man himself as been out of country for about 2 weeks, doing a world tour: various Euro countries, Saudi Arabia, and showed up in Japan where the G7 bunch were doing their little conference in Hiroshima (nice psy ops deal there!!, "here we are in the first city that was nuked!"). Where will Ze man show up next...?

Sorry that you seem to have no idea of what's going on. Both sides have the best tanks and weapons they can buy. That's just not looking at the facts. There's a reason for this conflict , and the reason is more important than the weapons being used.

No you really don't . In this post I asked I didnt ask who had the best what, what the reason for the conflict was the bigger reason ect. All that is irrelevant to my post and my original question. I ask specifically about one vehicle and it's variant, it's numbers in country and if it's employment. That's it. Don't care about anything else IN THIS POST. and honestly I felt like it was a pretty small simple ask someone could just tell me "hay man looks like tlwe sent them like 20 and their baing used for towing and some engineering stuff" mabye have a lil discussion about how their handling that terrain and the like . But as far as anything further I just don't care when it comes to this post. And I've done a lot of research on my own dealing with this conflict I've tried posting very detailed information on here and no one seems to care because a 2hr power point is too long it's not some former general or talking head they like or whatever and everything just boils down to something something joe Bien new world order Russia good because conservative Christian big army anti woke. Even though this is OBVIOUSLY just another proxy war where lots of cooperations are profiting from like we've been doing since forever we're acting like his is something super special. Like I've tried to have constructive conversation on here on the subject and others but it almost always goes the exact same way of shut up kid I'm older then you so I know better . But lemme stop because it seem most times I talk like I have some kinda literacy I get called a gamit of things and honestly it's just not worth it anymore. Basically been cancelled on here anyway So with that said y'all win I'm raising my white flag I just give up on the subject . I'll just go back to posting projects and spring a few days to catch a possum or something.

Tell us what your research shows is actually happening now and what we can expect for the next months. Please.
Who is winning?
What will happen now?
Please. Thank you.
Personally, I think destroying Ukraine is something super special.

You're fine with trapping posts, but you bring in controversial posts like this one . Seems at times you just want to stir the pot! I could care less about minor things in the world, who has the biggest gun or whatever. I care about the why it's happening. I care about the lives of people everywhere. Not just what's being used to kill each other. Sorry , but sometimes the posts are meaningless. Stay with trapping and related issues, . I used to be impressed with your posts about aquaculture , and things like that . Just have a hard time understanding some things that you post sometimes. Don't give up , just learn not everyone will agree with everything that you believe. We all care about you , and don't want you to give up. Just understand that certain things will cause an reaction that doesn't always fit your thinking or beliefs . Hey you're the resident kid ! It's part of life learning the ropes of different views of life. Hang in there, you're a big part of this site..

For the experts in the matter. Y'all happen to know if they have any M88a1 or m88a2A2 Hercules over here and if so how many and what are they using them for primarily Last I heard we sent them eight M88's. As far as which variants, that information is classified. As far as how they are being used, M88's are designed for specific tasks and are not practical to use outside those design specifications. They are primarily used to recover armored vehicles (damaged/immobile tanks). Some variants can recover tanks mired to different depths, some can remove and replace tank turrets and power packs and upright overturned heavy combat vehicles. Some variants can be used for refueling and defueling other vehicles and some can be used for light earth moving to prepare a recovery area. I would guess that if they are being used, they are being used within those design parameters. FYI, I am not an expert on the subject. Anybody who is an expert on the subject and has the first-hand knowledge to answer your questions with would likely be violating their clearance in doing so.

Never was involved in an M88 recovery. We recovered ourselves with tow cables.

Wolf - sorry I don't know the answer to your question. But I'm also no going to lecture you on how smart I am, and lecture you as if I have inside information that nobody else has... so there's that. Wolfie likes to take his shots at others, especially political forums, though they might be a little more subtle than others approach. But when it comes back his way then he comes out looking like the victim. He always says he knew what the replies will be before he posts. My approach is don't post or don't complain.

The M88A1 variant was just beginning to see service when I served. In AIT they had one of the big, turbo-charged V12's (and the APU) set up in a classroom. The instructor was fond of starting it and telling the class that anybody who could open the door against the suction of those twin turbos could take the rest of the day off.
