Appears that the online guys can't bid during live auction? If this is correct I figure that they are leaving money on the table that the producers could be making. That is correct. It was clearly stated that online bidding would end at 6 PM eastern time on Thursday the 25th. Not sure what technology would be required to integrate the 2 types of selling. Might be too expensive and/or compacted. And there is no guarantee how many online bidders would be pushed farther. I know the customers I am bidding for have given me their maximum bids.

Maybe not everyone go higher then their max but I'm sure some would. I mistakenly thought they all were run like a ritchie bros auction. It don't seem right to me but I guess that's the way it is. I now understand what you mentioned earlier.

What's a red fox graded B@$% (child born out of wedlock) mean? Usually one with a lot of grey on the hips. Not good for the fur trade but the tourist trade likes them.

Walleye , was that lot 80001? I had 3 in that lot, I expected a higher price to be honest? YUP, Lots# 80001 thru 80004 were all in the same TOP LOT string. That was my only rat to sell out of 234 total. Might be a bloodbath in the private treaty room here shortly !!! walleyed

The guy who sent that will have a nice avg, lol. That price has been beat in the past.
One year 6 beaver in the top lot sold for $1200 per pelt. I know the guy that had 2 pelts in that lot.He used to ship to NAFA,but missed the fur pick up that sale so he shipped to FHA. That would have been back about 1985, I think. $1200 USD in 1985 is multiplied by 2.85 in today's dollars. SO, that would be an equivalent of $3420 in today's U.S. dollars, we have a ways to go for that to come back. And, it appears these levels may be the new beaver market for a few years.
