CitW here.. So, I hope everyone is doing well! I'm just looking for some basic information regarding Coyote hunting in Illinois . I am Archery only! To hunt all year, some private land would be needed I believe. Witch brings me to a question.. Do alot of you coyote hunters ask land owners for permission? Would a lover of coyote hunting be asking all the landowners he/she could? Needless to say Im looking and praying to hunt these dogs. Again any information on Illinois coyote hunting would be wonderful! Thanks and everyone have a great day...CitW

Yep I would ask everyone are you just hunting coyotes or are you deer hunting most people have no use for coyotes but my advice would be to ask the larger farmers where you are at imop they are the easiest to deal with then when you get permission do what you say that leads to trust and they all have friends..Jon

Thank you Jon! I like to here these things from a regular person. Yes sir just coyote hunting. Archery only.. Question what is imop? So rather than private citizens, larger farmers? There is tons of Shawnee national forest in southern Illinois. You may want to contact the Illinois department of natural resources because if your up here during bow season I believe a CPO would give you a hard time not that it is illegal but they write a ton of tickets to out of staters because they don’t want to buy a tag unless they kill , who cares about song dogs no season period up here.You would need a hunting license and habitat stamp and that’s it plus keep your bow cased or locked in vehicle politicians make stupid laws lol..
