I object to this. All my life growing up I was considered Gen X and y'all can't change the rules and make me a Millennial now! June 29, 1981

there is always a little overlap

my uncle is 1965 but since he is 5 of 8 kids he was really more like a boomer my aunt 8 of 8 was end of 75 but with silent generation parents
my dads parents were the very end of the greatest generation my mom is the oldest but my dad is 3rd

my wife's parents are silent generation but she is right in the middle of X you get some interesting gaps and differences

there are also traits you learned and things you experienced that may have you one side of that generational line than the other.

how may smart devices do you have in your home besides your pc and phone ?
did you move back in with you parents during the 2008 recession ?

do you place greater value your independence then people 5-6 years younger than you?

if you answered no smart devices , live on my own since 17-18 and just leave me alone so I can get my work done. yes you would fall more gen X

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I was told the same thing. I would prefer the cut off date is Sept 4th 1981
