Did you ever feel like a Pirate? This little guy was in my pole building and I needed to close the door.
I carried him outside and tried to set him on a big rock.
He just jumped back on my finger. So I held my hand up and he took off.
When I walked away he landed on my shoulder and let me take his pic before flying up in a tree.

Here's one we named "George." 125 miles out at sea. Just flew up on the Admirals Bridge flag bag out of nowhere. Stayed 3 days and flew off. . . . grin

That's funny Flipper, had his cousin visit here Sunday. Similar story in the pole shed but he didn't come back after I let him go. He went straight up and his partner was there in a flash, out of nowhere and the spun together and headed east at full speed.

They are so tiny, it sat on my finger a long time. I was trying to get rid of it so I could leave.
It was amazing looking at it so close.

When I sailed accrues the pond from the UK via the Azores to the Delaware bay in Mid Atlantic I had a swallow as a visitor for 4 days. It slept in my hat inside the cabin and spend the days in the cockpit with me. The companion way was always open so it could get in and out whenever it wanted. It drank water and milk out of a bottle cap. After it rested up, it flew of and got the the US well before me.

Once I got in a little wreck on a horse at a roping. Finished the roping then spent the night up at pasture close by that I needed to check the next morning. Couldn't walk the next morning. Barely got horse caught and gear loaded up to drive home. Never went to Dr and walked on crutches for a week then hobled around for another month or so. My sister told me I walked like a pirate when I was hobbling around. I was single and she told I wasn't going to get any dates walking like that and I should go to the Dr. I proved them all wrong and healed up fine and some maidens I learned like pirates Lol.
