I have probably close to 100+ slides from my Grandfather on the USS Iowa during the Korean War. If I could ask him today if he wanted them posted I would and do what he wanted. Because I can't, i will just keep them close to home. They are neat to say the least few people will ever get to see them. Seeing those big guns fire are beyond comprehension for many. I do appreciate getting to see those who share.

While I can't tell you what to do with is stuff since I don't know him, seems most of the old vets I've talked to are beyond happy to show their pictures most had never been seen for decades and usually seems to brighten there today to be able to show them again. That, and idk I just don't see what good could come of just letting such valuable stuff like that just collect dust hidden away forever. But again I I can't and won't tell anyone how they should love their lives. Just my thoughts, respectfully.

Great pics. Thanks
The boys of Pointe du Hoc. These men were simply amazing. I’d love to say a prayer of thanks at the base of those cliffs someday.

I recognize the inside of a cattle car when I see it. At 18 yrs I was highly insulted at having to ride in such an inhumane contraption. But on the other hand, I was glad I didn't have to walk. This one has bars. One layer sits on the benches and another layer stands up and holds onto the bars. Like a subway. You get in those things and some would be comedian will invariably start making mooing noises. Every time.

Ace of Aces, The One Man Airforce, Captain Dominic Salvatore Gentile, arguably the best fighter pilot ever born. Don is my paternal grandfather's 1st and 2nd cousin. He bought a homemade plane at 17 and was soon given a safer one by his parents. He used to buzz the school, fly under bridges, fly through barns and be a general nuisance in our hometown of Piqua, Ohio with his plane. He was to short to enlist in the US Airforce, so he enlisted in the RAF. He was transferred to the US Airforce after we entered WWII. Don had 30 kills. Dwight D. Eisenhower called him the "One man Airforce". Keith
