They get released back into this lake. That's the agreement I have with the friend/owner. His grandpa built this lake over 70 years ago. When the Florida hybrids were available, he stocked them. When he was still living, you could come fish for catfish, crappie and bream. He didnt want anyone messing with the bass. I trapped coyotes for this fella for years. So, I feel obligated to release these beauties back into the lake to honor his wish and legacy. I have kept one bass of about 6 pounds that had the hooks in his gills and the fish was not going to survive. This lake truly is a gem, It is my duty to maintain it the way it should be maintained or, the way his grandpa would want us to manage the lake. I can keep all of the big crappie I want to fillet, and I do. To my knowledge, I am the only person they let bass fish this lake. A few older men come crappie fishing in early spring but they dont bass fish.

I feel as I am the luckiest person in this adventure, Jeremy and his bride are awesome parents and in trusting me to take Jesse fishing. Jesse Henry is about as solid of a young man you will find walking on this earth these days. There are many more just like him, I see their photos on this forum. Its just that they have become more scarce with all of the current mess in this country, which is happening in our communities. Yours and ours.
