Just got home from work. Poured two of what you said and headed to the basement to watch Into the Wild Frontier on the Cowboy Way channel. This one is on Tom Fitzpatrick. CC is the best plastic bottle Canadian there is.

It's already mid Sunday morning, but, I thought I'd share my typical evening drink in case anyone might be interested.

My postrate/bladder/whatever doesn't take well to a lot of liquid before bedtime. So I have concocted a simple cordial/liqueur that is relaxing and satisfying with only an ounce or two of liquid. I am not much for words when it comes to describing taste, but, plenty of heat while smooth and sweet.

I call it "honey shine". It is best to allow the three (more optional} ingredients to infuse for a couple days, so let it sit for at least a few days before sipping.

The recipe is simple:
  • one part (cup) high proof vodka or Everclear®
  • one part (cup)honey simple syrup which is comprised simply of:
    • one part honey
    • one part water.... mix these together in a separate container
  • combine in a suitable container, such as a quart mason jar, shake, cover, and let sit for a day or two

The result is a very pleasant liqueur to sip for about an hour before bedtime.

Feel free to adjust the proportions to your taste or add anything else, such as Triple sec® or spices
