A good dog stays with us for a long time even if it's in spirit hang in there I still haven't replaced my old hunting partner yet but I've started thinking about it more frequently in time I'm sure you will to .

Been through that pain with losing my dog about 25 years ago .my Dad told me it was gonna be rough when the time came and he was so right.It was extremely difficult for me. Sorry for what your going through. I felt it was time so got me a new pup recently.

Best squirrel dog I ever had was my wifes Miniature Sheltie, She was named Lass and was only 11 inches tall at the top of her back but she loved to tree squirrels, We had to have her put down at 16. They came out and did it. She could not even walk. I have to keep telling myself it was the right thing to do. It is very hard. I really feel sorry that you have to go through this! It is hard.

Just reminded of my Doc Russell today I seen a lady walking her dog today it looked just like my Molly what a blast from the past. Happy and a bit sad at the same time .
