On June 15, 2023, Alaska Wildlife Troopers operating off the Kodiak-based Patrol Vessel Cama’i issued Gregory Reutov, age 41 of Homer, a summons to appear in court for failing to retain all caught salmon. Reutov was contacted on the fishing vessel Sinai while commercial drift gillnet fishing for salmon in the Unimak District of the Alaska Peninsula Area. Prior to contacting the vessel, Troopers observed salmon being thrown back into the water after being caught. Arraignment is set for July 20, 2023, in the Anchorage Court.

This whole thread is interesting to me but I am not familiar with what is happening ! Otter say way the craft is where it is .Repairs ? Finished for the year ? Was he using the wrong gear to that caught the tossed salmon ? Thanks for the interesting pictures ! smith

Hang on this ride will continue for another 6 weeks. Your ? Are good .the other post is about salmon fisherman in area m which is along way from here. But if they intercept too many chum salmon ,they could be shut down so up northwestern can get some escapement to propagate. Remind you alaska is huge area.the state park near here is alone Bigger than Delaware and Rhode Island

Thank you otter for the explanation on what your boat is used for , I don't believe I've ever seen a tender boat before but I haven't spent much time near the ocean where commercial fishing takes place but I find it interesting .
