Had my kawasaki 175 leaned up against our house trailer cause id broke the kick stand off it when the house trailer burned to the ground so everything went up in smoke. That put me back on foot till i got a vehicle to drive many years later. I think there's a country song in there somewhere, lol.

Nothing like a mini bike to give you freedom as a kid. I learned to ride a z50 before a bike.
Don’t know what ya got for area there, when I was a kid I was given the freedom to ride off into the sunset.
The dirt biking came later.

Love it. Reminds me of a friend in Tenerife. He was a full blooded enduro guy and wanted a mini enduro for his sons birthday ....so a bunch of us broke out the welding gear and grinders etc and over the course of a couple of weeks in the evenings, we turned a brand new mini road racer into an enduro. the little fellas birthday came around and we all got together and drove to a pub about 10 miles away , keeping the little guy in the middle of the pack. We got stopped by a couple of police on bikes and after explaining the situation, we had a police escort with flashing lights to the pub and an hour later back home again. The cops stayed with us at the bar and the little guy was over the moon.
Savel, make sure he wears protective gear for his noggin, knees, elbows and hands.

Might as well order the Stage1 kit now, then Stage 2 for Christmas

I got a mini bike when I was about Jesse Henry’s age, maybe a little younger. Problem was, I had a brother and we were supposed to share the ride.

That didn’t really go that well. A favorite tactic on both sides was to hide behind a tree or in a standing cornfield along one of the many trails we created and jump out and grab the handlebars as one of us went by. We’d jump on and be gone by the time the thrown brother could dust himself off.

My brother and I had honda mini trails. They were our upgrade for trapping rigs from our bicycles. We had more fun with them than a barrel of monkeys.

… he’s about 6’ and muscle…. He shot on me the other night and I rolled him and got on top .., told him you can’t beat old man strength…. But my back ain’t been the same since lol

Seeing the young fella on that bike brings back memories. First was a Honda 50. We'd lay a 45gal drum on its side and put a plank on it for a jump. First time didn't work so good as the barrel spun out of the plank. Rode the beejezus out of that thing. Scraped knees, palms and elbows were common occurrence. Liked biking so much I bought a xr 200. This earned me a trip to the ER with a broken foot, gravel in the left knee and both elbows. It hurts like the dickens when they pluck the gravel out and give you a good scrubbing with something like a pot scrubber to get the sand out. The 200 didn't have enough jam so I spent one of my wcb cheques ( got hurt at work) on a xr 350. Got nicely healed up enough from my work injury to go riding at the gravel pit. Having a heckuva good time on my bike until I compressed 3 disc's in my back and redislocated my right hip which resulted in 3 more months off work. I was 16 when this happened and pawned the bike off to my dad while I was healing to buy beer and smokes. He sold the bike that week. Lol. Great memories.
