Well I should have never opened this post, made me aware of a problem I seem to have. I started buying Case knives quite a few years back, have around 60 of them. Wife still gets me a nice mother of pearl handle one every year for our anniversary. Bought an Emerson folder for $275 a couple years ago, I think that is the most I ever spent. Have 4 Dunns, a couple White Rivers, a couple Benchmades, a Leach Lake and a Cutco fillet knife, a couple old Schrade muskrat knives Couple of old Bucks and a bunch of cheap stuff too. Carrying a new Kershaw folder right now, I really like it. Every time someone posts a pretty picture of one on here I want one. lol

No Jayme, I do not. They are a nice looking knife. I have never used a bird hook knife, do you like them?
Zim Yes. There's sentimental attachment I have to them as well. I bought one for my brother just a little while before he passed away unexpectedly at age 46. I have that one (its a DU knife) as well as a yellow one of my own and a bone handle that is my son's. I think they are all discontinued now but you can find some of them on-line if you want one in your collection.

Paid $120 once for a piranha auto. Great little blade that sharpen really nice. Lost it about 4 months later chasing ducks along a river bank.

Define "good knife".
I might pay $200 for the knife Charlie Dobbins skinned most of his beaver with,
I WOULD pay $200 for a knife Davy Crockett skinned his with.
I might pay $100 for a modern knife, to put on a shelf, if it had enough meaning.
For using??? $30 tops as they never last a few months before I lose them.
Proudly banned from the NTA.

Slightly off topic , I bought this kitchen knife set a bit over a year ago , love it. About $230 ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/06/full-3135-181293-cut_6_7000_15_001_s1.jpg) https://www.ebay.com/itm/364315110007?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&campid=5338678874&toolid=20006%26customid%3Ds%253AGS%253Bgc%253A8d06736888b7167e043817f5d9cf8f15%253Bpt%253A1%253Bchoc%253A1&customid=s%3AGS%3Bgc%3A8d06736888b7167e043817f5d9cf8f15%3Bpt%3A1%3Bchoc%3A2

Schrade Oldtimer Trapper has been my daily carry for years. Had one confiscated at the airport. Last one I got is Imperial Schrade. I guess Imperial owns Schrade now.
