Okie dokie tha ks eveyone look the project is a go , the roost / nesting box is my only hang up right now though

I have friends who run a lot of this low meat bird tractor

Gen 2 is covered all the way across the top , they lost a bunch of birds to a thunderstorm that came in the middle of the night

hot night , didn't expect any storms , one came in the night and dropped a bunch of rain and some ice pellets about 2AM dropped the temp after the storm and they had lost a bunch of birds to hypothermia , all the birds that were under the tin were fine all the dead ones were not under the tin. they won't get up and move once roosted in their spot for the night

if they know a storm is coming they will tarp that part of the older tractors

but when they rebuilt the next batch of them they added panels to omit the open top ,

Heres my little meat bird tractor. One end can be used for the day old chicks. All the roof panels are hinged to open. I move it with the lawn tractor.
