Nice ...
I hadn't fished for them until you posted about your biggest .
Went out to a river I hadn't fished in about 5 years and caught my first.
3 days later my oldest son caught his first. Now we're hooked...lol

Home made bucktails, yes

I hooked one earlier on one of my jerkbaits, but it got off.

That's pretty awesome!! I hear there are some giants down in the bay!! Some time I would like to make the trip down. Is the water dropping on the bay or holding? I got reports that the French is dropping.

Around our area most of the Great Lakes muskies look more like the 2nd one or even more spotty. Your first one looks more like the ones in our inland lakes. I fish alone most of the time now and have not gone "muskie" fishing for quite a few years. Mounted my biggest one, also the 3rd I ever caught. Big trebles, big lures flying past your head on hook sets that did not set, releasing 20 lbs. plus fish can be a risky activity! The last years I laid a 5 foot stick with a tape with inches and feet on it along the boat on the water and released the fish while in the water. Did not boat the last couple dozen.

The water on the French can rises and drops seasonally. No doubt dropping now

Bay levels are a but down, but holding steady this year
