Just have to look for a spot sometimes. Down a hill or in a dip in the road. Or often. Go 1/4 mile down the road and find a turn out. He is a example

Very rockey. But down the hill bout 50 yards is a turn out. Place pushed for water to shed off road. Trap and drag. In front of rock

The big black rocks are always good for a set. When I trapped in far west TX there was a big rock like that along a seldom used road. I could see this rock from quite a distance. Sure enough When I checked it out I could see where coyotes had been marking it. I put in two sets and had a coyote there 3 days in a row.

I know there’s properties around here that you could catch multiple coyotes a day for probably 2-3 weeks straight. I looked at one property that had literal trails with nothing but coyote tracks. They wanted me to trap and the fur was my payment. I know they must still have an issue because they were fussing about no fawns on cameras last year and after shooting a deer if they wait to take up the trail the coyotes get them. One guy said 45 minutes from shot to finding the deer and the hind end was eaten out.

I headed back to sheep country now. To run some snares. But i am still enjoying the low humidity. AND. In high humidity in Alabama I often had severe nose bleeds. I have only had 1 this year in Central Texas and it was just a few drops. Really likeing West Texas!!

Bob. That is the ONLY break in a mtn range for about 6 miles. Butts up again the neighbor of this ranch. Every kind of aniaml track you can amagine. LoL! Their is a water tank bout 500 yards behind me. Few coyote tracks. I may get up under a bush and set a coyote set. Its about 35 miles from Mexico. So anything is possible
