Just leave them in the hot wax untill all the water has sizzled out,1-2 min max.
Wax has to be hotter than 100c (212 f)
I dont use those big ram things.
Just snares set to dispatch.

I use my snares as soon as I make them if I run short. Never had problems with shiny snares. Keep an eye on them if you boil them , they rust from the inside out.
