I have not tried straight summer squash pickles but last year I made a lot of summer squash relish. It was very good and I won't use cucumbers anymore for relish. Pickles should be OK as well. I am also shredding and freezing summer squash and use it mixed with some flour to make lasagna layers. Pretty good. Need to tweak the recipe a bit.

we used to make slices and onions with a sweet pickle , they were great on a sandwich

liked about a 1 1/2 inch in diameter zuke , just before they got large seeds

zuchini has very little of it's own flavor so it will take on what your brine gives it

I planted one yellow straight neck, just to eat the baby's as they come on.

If I actually get some pickled I'll update this thread.
