Dave just make sure the light is away from you. Hornets will attach the light source. And hornets, unlike bees, can and will sting multiple times.
Use a large enough amount of sevin® and don't use it out of the original shaker container, put it in a cup or bowl to drop in large quantities all at once.
The sprays are effective if you can get direct contact with the nest (good for hanging nests); otherwise they aren't the killing machine they're made out to be.

Was go use can ultra kill hornet an wasp spray Tonite after dark as not work early tomorrow, it is a little cheaper other products, now read reviews on it, most are negative an say it don't kill wasp. I now have huge black wasp around like small birds come carport. The closet real high up gutter where come from. If can get spray to land in gutter, an does anything. Can it damage ur asphalt shingles, does anyone know? I can't really find info on it nowhere if damage shingles or not. It definately would get power lines an electrical tower hookup service here go house the meter an siding . Because where they are at , the old can of raid drop wasp right away. U think all sprays would have same chemicals

For wasp I normally just put som gas in a cut off soda bottle and splash it on them. Drops them instantly. Gas is 359 per gallon. Takes just a few oz.

I contact the company at ultra kill. Told them it don't do nothing. Sent pic of bar code with case no email them an supposed get refund in 2 months, I buy big spray can raid, that stuff works . No more off brand stuff. I couldn't believe it. It does nothing . It don't even foam up at all. Spray nest in 2 places direct hit saturated close to dz wasps, absolutely nothing but irritate them . Hundreds of reviews in product. Almost everyone negative. It don't work at all

Raid I got today. Drop yellow jacket in ground hole immediately . Got 4 wasp one spot carport wall. Drop with shot raid hotshot. The ultra kill worthless , saturate them an do nothing. Fly off. Swat one hat that attack me before . Is there really anything good u can bait then with that works ? I can't find any main wasp nest . There dens all over. I had scented water once trap them in. Worthless an nothing in it Bring the plumber over by the nest pretending you have a plumbing problem there. After they use up all their stingers on the plumber,,you can just smack em with a fly swatter.
