Keeping it secret from my wife, and MIL that her dad wanted to quit chemo and just die peacefully at home. He finally told them both at a doc appt about 2 weeks later. Two weeks after that he passed. She wasn't going to go with him to the appt but I made her go, telling her he really wanted her there for the medical advice I couldn't give. When they got home she told me, and I said "I know... That's why I pushed so hard for you to go."

Was in a Mooslime Country during my very young years and decided I would watch them carry out a sentence for a woman cheating on her hubby. Never should have watched!!! Disgusting and Morbid. Always wondered why the man was not done the same.

back in 2005 my cousin called me and said my uncle had a blood clot on the brain she wanted me to take her and her sister over to the hospital.i did and the doctor asked them did they want to leave him on life support or not.they were crying and kept asking me what should they do.although I was like the son my uncle never had l could not tell them what to do. for obvious reasons.i knew deep down in my heart he would not want to live like that.after that ordeal I told my parents to put it down in writing what they wanted done should something ever happen like that.i

Safety off, finger on trigger, FRONT SIGHT FRONT SIGHT screaming in my head.

Fortunately, the other guy made a better decision and showed his empty hands.

My latest hard thing to do is

Let my youngest son do clinical trails for a very rare cancer.
Basically he is a test subject within an group of people.

They switch up the medication for result for the mass and it can allow the few to suffer

Trying to talk him into getting himself to Mayo
He is trying to save a leg

Everyone I know died with the leg

The hardest decision I ever made was to give up trying to make the NHL and take a job that would allow me to properly take care of my young family! As a 20 year old it was the most difficult decision I have ever made! At age 69 after living an incredible and diverse life it is still my greatest pain and sadness! When the Good Lord placed me in my mother's womb I was destined to be one thing, a Hockey Player, everything that has transpired over the last 50 years while it has been amazing and allowed me the Grace to raise a family of 4 very well has just been hollow to me fore in my heart and soul I am still that 20 year old seeking to live out my destiny.

My youngest daughter and her boyfriend were running a multi state meth business. She spent 7 1/2 years in federal prison. Has been out 1 1/2 and working the same two jobs within a week of release. One full time one part time. She has been sober that whole nine years. I am proud of her for making a new life for herself and putting that poison behind her.

Was hard for me to tell her this is the bed you made your on your own, when she was arrested. I have given a hand a few times after she was released and made it clear that one slip she is on her own again. That is a hard row to hoe when you actually have to do it I discovered 9 years ago.

Getting married was one of the easiest decisions I ever made.
Not one second thought entered my head, even though the worldly people said we were too young. Didn't bother me one bit.

Harvard or Yale wasn't so bad, but, add MIT to the mix and the decision is life changing.

Reading all of these posts brings up the fact that everyone faces adversity. Obviously, some of the above scenarios are far and away more tragic than others, but we all face trials and tribulations. Personally, signing the "DNR" paperwork for my Mother was a horrible decision I had to make 13 years ago, even though it was the right decision, I still struggle with it at times. I truly believe without my faith in the Lord, I would not be able to get through it. Prayers for peace to everyone who has posted.
