Tray "Wilson Jr." T Joined: Feb 2010 SD	We use orange pop in the trap and it works really good, can catch big numbers really fast. If you run traps in early spring the females are more active outside the hole and easy to catch, once you remove them your numbers will drop dramatically in following years.

Sounds like a good way to kill honey bees. Anything sweet will attract then. I would rather have the yellow jackets than kill off my hives. That's why I like the chicken. Bees aren't attracted to it like sweets.

Trapper7 OP trapper T Joined: Dec 2006 MN, Land of 10,000 Lakes	This morning I put canned chicken into the trap with Mountain Dew and set it next to the hole they've been going in and out of. They aren't interested in the least. The hole is horizontal on the ground making it impossible to shoot wasp killer very far into it. I might have to try Sevin or permethrin in the entrance. Someone suggested wait until dark and then with a garden hose fill the hole up with water to drown them. It's not always about catching fish. That's what people who don't catch fish usually say.
