That's too bad he left. I used to enjoy our religion discussions and debates. He always behaved like a gentleman and a true Christian.

My son, who's something of a Biblical scholar, says that those who only pay lip service to belief in Jesus should not count on being saved. It's up to God who's saved, but you can't fool God with words. He can see into your heart.
To really accept Christ means you follow His teachings and strive to be Christlike yourself. You accept Jesus into your heart.
So says my son. A case of son teaching the father.
