Good looking truck! Does the dealership offer that delivery service or did you have to make that arrangement through someone else?

Dealership offers the service as far as Whitehorse. Most don’t do the North Klondike and dempster highway anymore. I drove to Whitehorse and caught Walmart with about 20 minutes to spare. Ran the aisles as I already knew what I was going to buy. Spend about 450 on laundry soap, TP and shampoo/body wash and bar soap. Grabbed food from two drive throughs and started back to Inuvik with the new truck. Quick round trip.

About 30 minutes after I seen this lone young bull on the way south I got a slow leak in one tire. I was about 60km from the one service station on the dempster. Tire went from 70lbs to 20lbs but I made it. Tire shop was closed for the night so I waited until the next morning to get it repaired. That wait killed some serious travelling time and that was the time I would’ve had to shop around Whitehorse for a few more things I had on my mind like a few more boxes of rifle ammo and some meat bags for the fall. Unfortunately for me I didn’t bring home the new quad I was planning to buy. I did make it home for work though. A little tired but that’s what coffee is for.

I sent this picture to my son. Then when the time comes he won’t hesitate. I told him I figure I’ll take him sheep hunting this fall. Man was he excited. Lots of good hunting coming up and we’re sure looking forward to it all

That's a nice looking pickup Ryan ! A dall sheep hunt would be great for you two . I'm surprised that you don't reload your own cartridges the I initial expense is high but I've found it worth while in the long run if a person has the time to sit down and do it .

If I saw a ram like that, I'm not sure I could take the time to AIM! Or even hold the rifle steady enough to aim!

Beauty ram for sure Pete. I coach Bobby a lot on shooting so I’ll have to remind him not to look at the horns. I’m looking forward to calling in a moose for him too. CAnt wait to see his legs start shaking AFTER the moose falls

My experience has been that it is much harder to miss a moose, than a sheep! laugh

Your truck is gonna ride pretty smooth. The FX4 has a nice suspension.

Wicked traps. They seem well made. More than enough power to hold a wolf let alone a lynx or Wolverine. I tried setting it on my knee at first but ended up using my feet. I’ll try again later with work gloves. I think they will be just fine.

I know a couple guys who trap around cattle that use those for wolves. They don't have the jawspread to come up through much snow, and a wolf foot will plumb fill them up, but they are built plenty stout enough to hold them, and unlike the big wolf traps they don't have to worry about them holding a cow.

For my trapping conditions here they will be an excellent lynx and Wolverine trap. We don’t get freeze thaw conditions and I rarely set where wind will blow them over. If my two coiled #3s can come up through the snow here then these k9 extremes will be even better. There’s a few places on my line that I always set a wolf trap because lynx wolverine and wolf all frequent the place. This year I’ll set one of these and see what happens. It’s the same place I caught and held a young black wolf in a #3 one year. He wasn’t caught too long but he rode home on top my third load of fire wood that day. If I notice too many toe catches I’ll trim that pan a bit. First impression is good though. Solid trap and I like the finish on them

Yessir man. It is a smooth ride. Quiet too. Hit the pedal and it’s at 130-140kmh just like that. I miss the long wheel base and weight of the super duty but this truck will do the job. Already saving at the gas station amd that’s the main reason I switched back to gas. Hopefully diesel doesn’t drop any time soon or I might regret my decision

Yup. Hunting and trapping is just around the corner. Maybe a month or so and it will be starting again for the year.

I'm not ordering any no bs traps. It's my dream to trap a cow. So if they won't hold a cow they are not for me.

They'll hold just fine. I set this one for coyotes knowing wolves were running the same FS road. He was in it for a day or so. 93lb male.

Should be a good all around trap for the delta. I like them. I’ve caught a few wolves over the years in #2 and #3 traps but only held once. Usually pulled up to a little mess and a busted up trap. These traps here will pick up bonus fur that might’ve got away with a lesser trap. I’ve still got faith in my old #3s but these traps are on a different level. One hand setters available? I’m setting them easy enough without but for a long cold day on the trapline I’d carry the one hand setters.

Yes, one hand setters are available from NO BS for those traps.
