I have an LEM. My wife loves it. She's the main vaccu-sealer in our house.

We have a Vacmaster VP215 at home, had it for at least 6-8 years love that thing.

Bags are cheap and it does a great job.

After burning up a cheep one every year we got an avid armor chamber type. We have ran a few hundred pounds threw it with no problems.

Agree but it depends on how much you seal

Agree on the chamber sealer if you use it enough to justify the cost. Pre made bags are a little over 8 cents a piece. We did about 170 bags of deer sticks and summer sausage last fall, one after another and never had any over heating. With 2 people you can keep it running constantly.

We have 4 food savers. My experience with them is if you are bagging a lot of meat, they tend to get hot pretty quickly. So, you have to let them sit for a while to cool off. That's why we have 4 of them. Plus, you have to use their bags. There are some generic ones out there that are a lot cheaper, but they can be hard to find.

Remember as a kid we played army and you gave up the fort so the other side got it? Of course you don't. Little kids aren't that stupid.

I have used 3 different foodsavers and they are OK but not great, will not seal if any kind of juice/water is sucked into sealing area of bag. Have 1 Weston, vac works good but has an even bigger problem sealing than the foodsavers. My son has a Cabelas and that works good on dry stuff but again not on wetter meat/veggies. Am still searching for a great vac sealer. Eric

Lol, sure does!

I have a vac master vp215 also and love it. The best part about chamber sealers is the bags are cheaper. Lots of new chamber brands out there now also.

Happy trapping! ScottW

VP215 is what I have also. People don't believe me without a demo but you can seal a bag of water with it. Scott, if you haven't done it yet put an empty pop or beer can in a bag and seal it. Pretty impressive.

Vacmaster here. About 12 years and still works like day one. I went thru to many of those smaller units that didn't last. Unreal how much better this works. You can get bags cheap in different thickness. You use a chamber vac you'll never go back. We use ours alot. Like multiple times a week often packing alot of bags at once. This machine weights about 60 pounds i believe, maybe more[Linked Image]

Yeah the chamber sealer bags I buy for Webrestaurant run about (depending on size) 3 to 7 cents each, huge difference compared to food saver bags.
