This is basically the Dove setup I use here except I plant Japanese and Brown Top Millets and don't manipulate them due to hunting Waterfowl also. :-)

Yeah it's a nice set up. Even better if you find a pond between a feeding area and the roost.

In Idaho, the season opens 1 September. About 1700 hrs on 31 August, they bunch up and depart before the frost on early 1 September morning.
