Looks good, but how did they know that was blue ribbon worthy if they didn't crack it open and eat it?
We bought a nice looking melon at a roadside stand, but it was over ripe and mushy. Chickens even left most of it.
BTW, green stripers with seeds are very, very good. My pick if available.
Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.

Congratulations. Do you grow a lot of watermelons, or just a few that you try to get to a huge size, to compete with?
Any tips for producing giant watermelons?
Keith Carolina cross variety , good compost type soil , cow manure etc , when u set a melon you like commit to it and remove all others , I have grown some to eat but those are Charleston grays, I like growing big ones this melon had plenty of potential but the fair is when it is . It’s been a trial and error game for me this is my sixth winner .
