what about raw tomato and cheese


very ripe cubed tomatoes or cherry tomatoes halved
cubed up fresh mozzarella

fresh basil , salt , balsamic vinegar , olive oil , lemon juice pulse it a few times in the blender/food proccessor and toss the tomatoes in the dressing

so good

you could ad some bacon crumbles to it also if you were so inclined

I'm sure many folks would like that GCP, but for me, I'd prefer the mozz spread out on top of a pile of pepperoni, sausage, onions and mushrooms atop a lightly sauced, thin pizza crust and baked in real hot oven. I'm not a picky eater but raw tomatoes, brussel sprouts, and liver I just can't stand. I've tried them all in many ways many times but , no thanks.

A good bruschetta with tomatoes, feta, spinach and basil drizzled with oil and balsamic. Mmmm

Tastes are funny I never liked raw tomatoes until I turned 45 then all the sudden I really like them go figure

Basically a toasted split loaf of Italian bread. Split it, add toppings and toast. Served as a snack or antipasta/appetizer.

I disliked them as a kid

then when I was about 22-23 at our first house wife was pregnant and sleeping all summer it seemed I had a nice garden and nothing but time every evening while she was sleeping to work on it I grew some and they were so good I was changed home grown maters in peak of season are good stuff

I will eat the sad 1/2 green tomater on a salad at a restaurant now but , just nothing the same like they are two different fruits.

I might not have grown any but a neighbor stopped over he got tomato starts in a bundle of like 25 little bare root plants and he didn't have room for them all so he gave me several.

at one time I had over 100 tomato plants in a season 30 was most years
I cut way back now having to not eat too many and have about 10 plants , making lots of sauce is a lot of carbs I don't need.

also need to make more Salsa Fresca it was Taco Tuesday yesterday so it all got eaten. that stuff is adictive.

You guys have got to try my favorite. A BOT sandwich. Bacon onion tomato. I dislike lettuce on sandwiches. Salad it's fine.
