My repairman recommended this same thing when my last one broke and wasn't worth fixing anymore. We listened to him and are glad we did. Side benefit of the Speed Queen is that they are built in the USA. That alone makes them worth a couple bills more to me.

$3+ Dollars in change, depending on if you count the wore out pennies, a bunch of hair ties, and a shoulder pad from one of the girls shirts...plus a bunch of dog hair.
