The Beav trapper T Joined: Dec 2006 Wisconsin	In 2011 my buddy and I caught 3500 rats In ND. ND rats grade central. Not a good rat. When I finished all those rats on wood and took them down to NAFA. Every body knew where those rats came from. Every one of those rats graded eastern. I was asked how I did It. I used wood and had those rats off the boards In 2 days. alaska viking "Made it two years not being censored" A Joined: Dec 2007 40 years Alaska, now Oregon	I would think that with only 2 days on a wood stretcher, you would have considerable shrinkage and wrinkling as they continued drying . Just doing what I want now.

Bob Jameson trapper B Joined: Dec 2006 SW Pa	Air flow and the best temperature in your drying room / area is key to well cured fur. A well scraped hide makes it all come together. Boco trapper B Joined: Aug 2011 james bay frontierOnt.	Fur dries best at a fairly low temp and low humidity. I like to dry my fur in winter in the cold room in the basement at 10c the humidity is very low in winter here. Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
