I was watching the FHA auction when it came up, at first, I thought it was a joke. I believe it went for $775. 105” is what I’ve been told. They never weighed this one. So this is what they mean by a “blanket beaver”

Years ago, my dad caught 4 that went over 80" one year with the largest stretching 84". All were caught under the ice.
57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

Would really hate to meet up with that monster in the swamp! Wonder how far away his vehicle was from the trap?

I want to know what killed it. Would it even fit through a 330? Any type of drowning rig would have to be some seriously heavy weight or a drowning rod shoved 6ft in the mud, lol. Good point. So I took another look at the picture and the head end looks like it could be pretty bloodshot.
