foxkidd44 OP trapper Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,083 Illinois	My mom was rushed to Springfield memorial hospital last week (which is a major hospital about 60 miles north of where I live) because she was found to be septic. She was acting like she had dementia, was being meaner than a back foot caught coon… and was trying to escape out of her bed ( she can’t walk anymore because of diabetes complications) . Apparently she somehow developed an abcess on her spine and the infection is in her bone about halfway in on 2 of her vertebrae. I guess infection can poison your brain from how the doctor explained it.Doctors have said that the medicine for the infection is not going to be very effective because the infection is so deep…. And surgery to remove the infected bone is extremely risky, because of her diabetes and the possibility that the infection could spread. I’m worried my mom isn’t going to make it. I know GOD determines when our number is up,,, but if a few humble prayers are what is needed to change his mind…. Then at least we can give it a shot. Providence Farm trapper P Joined: Feb 2020 Posts: 11,858 Indiana	Praying For God's will to be done and provid healing and comfort to your family in your trials and tribulations. Seems like not long ago I was expecting my mother to die from stage 3 breast cancer. 4 yeas has flown by and she is doing well now just tires quickly, and chemo brain (memory issues) seem to be the lasting negative effect. Hang in there God has his plan and we don't know how it will play out. The worst things in my life have had a way of turning out good in the end. It always amazing to me how God uses the bad to do good even if it takes me years to be able to see it.
