So I'm currently in Missouri right now and was walking around the places by my hotel for the night and I'm just curious....what's with y'all Midwestern people and breakfast foods lol ? Like y'all are still better then the north but dang seems about every place I walked by it was breakfast stuff or a steak at 5p.m will say though.... Food tars pretty good. I can actually taste something more then salt and a das of pepper....though....I don't think I've seen one bottle of hot sauce yet laugh
Also went to this place called huddle house ... Never heard of them but it's like waffle House, was a lil confused seeing a line cook that did have a pack of black and milds in the shirt pocket or a half smoked blunt tucked behind their ear but hay this here has brown eage back sausage cheese thing is pretty nice

Also kinda confused about why their no road kill ? Seriously last 30mi of my ride up here was nothing but corn and I don't see not a single road kill coon....weird.

Pretty hot outside to add to your Road Kill collection.

All critters with any sense hole up when its this hot.

Even the local coyote litters are quiet for the last few days.

What dock in MO you tied up to?

I was in a Huddle House once. It was just off I-55 an hour or two south of Memphis (TN, not MO).

In hot weather, road kill gets broken down by fly maggots and beetles very quickly. In areas with lots of coyotes, coyotes patrol the road edges and carry off lots of roadkill. We have pretty huge numbers of turkey vultures and black vultures, which were a very rare sight, are dirt common now.

Just last weekend had steak and eggs with hashbrowns and toast. Good breakfast that stays with you for a while.

Were you served grits? Pretty standard here. I eat them about five mornings per week. Salt, pepper, and butter.
