I bought one of those orange colored plastic traps. I found putting a glob of grape jelly and pouring in apple juice to be an excellent bait. Every day I dump about 5 dozen dead yellow jackets out. Yesterday there were some baldfaced hornets in the trap too.

I don't always carry all my groceries on one arm, but when I do, my keys are usually in the wrong pocket.

If you lace a can of chicken with a quarter teaspoon of Taurus SC ... you will have yellow jackets visit that feeder for a day and then you won't have any left in the area for the rest of the season. I keep my place free of the darn things and run my brush hog anywhere I want on my 45 acres without a worry in the world

Where did you buy it from? Did you get the .80 ounce bottle?

A tube of frontline will do a can, and you don't have to but 200 years worth...

I can't get them to touch it at my place. I have tried both chicken and tuna.

I have nothing clever to put here.

This time of year they go for the meat, and more noticeable and more of a nuisance cause the nest is at full strength. try it again, and don't overdose the can...

I have a yellow jacket nest in my vinyl siding. I have used 5 cans of spray so far and they are still there and are getting more aggressive when I mow passed them. The Taurus SC sounds like a good way to get rid of them. Is Taurus SC the brand name or is Taurus SC the chemical that kills them? I looked on amazon and im striking out with searching for Taurus SC . thanks

Taurus SC is the brand name ... Its used for ground termite extermination to protect buildings. T think the active ingredient is the same as in Frontline flea medication for dogs etc. So you may want to get some of that instead. I don't know the dosage for frontline though ..... The trick is to use a mixture weak enough to give the yellow jackets time to feed the rest of the next with the stuff and not knock them out before that.

Just my 2 cents worth here/ But the problem with the traps using sugar stuff is that it also attracts insects you may not want to kill and it attracts them from quite a distance but will to get rid of the source. So in effect one just takes sure that there are always Yellow jackets near by as they are attracted by the trap.

The above method only kills hornets as they feed on protein unlike bees and you get rid of the source so you won't see another yellow jacket after 48 hours for the rest of the season.

I used to get on my tractor with trepidation as I knew that I was going to get tagged at some point while running the bush hog. Now I hand 6 bait stations up when I see the first yellow jackets and can mow anywhere on my 45 acres without a worry or getting stung by those buggers.

We use these and catch them by the hundreds every year. Just have to buy new vials of the "bait" every year.

Friponil is the active ingredient in the stuff I use

Frontline has the same percentage of Friponil as Taurus SC has. So a single one of those little vials of frontline mixed with a can of chicken should do the trick
