Bob that late frost hit us hard. We have a few apples, very few due to the late frost. This year started out like a drought year. May and June were August hot and dry. Then the last week of June we got rain, I was watering the new trees with a hose and 15 had to be buckets. Our corn was almost none existent, then the rain came and we did have "Knee high by 4th ofJuly" just barely. Since then we have had rain twice a week and everything took off. The corn is delicious but late. We just started to get tomatoes two weeks ago. Heck it rained last nite. We have had very few grouse in the last ten years. Lots of turkey flocks around.......jk

That's a lot of apple trees to order (40). Fantastic price. I order a lot but have never heard of them. I was in Marshfield yesterday..I should have looked them up; maybe I will next time.

Mice seem worse in our could snowy winters.

Maybe see if you can incorporate barbed wire into a bear deterrance plan

This is probably where I will buy my pawpaw. Finding zone 4 pawpaw is not easy
