gcs OP trapper G Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 2,610 coastal ny	I put one hill of pumpkins in for my wife that has a mysterious love of the darn things, along with my winter squash. These pumpkin vines have completely taken over and are approaching 40 feet long and not stopping, plenty of pumpkins already. My question for the gardening guys,, can I cut the vine tips to terminate them getting any longer and to stop setting new pumpkins that may not ripen before frost, which here is usually mid october. and would this hasten the growth of the existing pumpkins??? TIA.
