yeah, I.m good... I try and do everything correct and call them OFTEN with questions if I'm even slightly unsure.

I don't doubt you a bit but I wonder what those friendly agents would do if you didn't, even as an oversight. I imagine they'd be apologetic as they brought the full force of the federal government against you. That agency needs to be abolished.

What I was taught is that when the bill of rights was written, well regulated militia was not what most think. Militia was all civilian. Every male over 16. Well regulated was the practice of electing officers. The supreme court has been saying, finally, bearing arms is an individual right. What kind of man even applies for a job with an agency tasked to violate our rights and when accepted swears an oath to uphold those rights? Thats not how I describe "good folks".

Our government is behind all this reinterpretation by the ATF. Not enough votes in congress to change the law, not enough support among the states to amend the constitution, so this is the new tactic.

With all the jobs available today what kind of man goes along with this?

Black powder falls under a completely different set of rules than smokeless powder. Been that way for a loooong time. Much more strict on the storage requirements for real black powder.

My ffl dealer is also a deputy. He has been in business for 50 yrs. In our small rural areas he sells about 1000 firearms a yr plus what he has shipped to me and others thru him. When I was in there picking up a rifle last week his new atf agent was there checking his records and after the guy left I asked him if he was sweating. He said yep and if he walked back in now I would be sweating again too!

Just something to think about why are they constantly making up new rules that will only impact otherwise law abiding citizens but yet fail to as aggressively enforce the existing laws that deal with truly violent criminals. If the reported numbers are to be believed then the BATFE should be able to arrest 2 or 300 violent criminals committing firearms violations every weekend in several major cities across the Country. Why (whether you agree with the law or not the fact is that currently it is the law of the land passed by the Congress and signed by the President) do they ignore it when states legalize marijuana and openly sell it in retail establishments?

K91773 , i don't agree with prohibition but have been asking that for a long time. The second amendment protection act in KS makes the enforcement of federal gun law a felony. It makes the sale of home made firearms legal. It makes the manufacture and sale of suppressors legal within the state of KS. Yet the feds have arrested and convicted people of those things. Why is it OK for the feds to quit prosecuting drug sales under state law but firearm law prosecution gets more regulated?
