On morning break at work. Saw it break on tv. Watched both planes hit the towers.

On a fire near Spanish Fork, UT.

I was working the 10:30-7 shift that day I had been scheduled to work with Mark a local tech in NYC on some phones in tower one 81st floor.
his kid got sick so it got rescheduled

I had 2 customer sites with people I talked regular with in tower one

the highest one was 81st floor and they did all make it out.

it was a very strange day , and my wife has a very different experience of it , the company she worked at had no internet for most of the office staff and didn't tell anyone very much.

where I work the rolled a tv into the break room and had it on all day

my wife was pregnant with our oldest at the time.

Surf fishing, Hatteras, wife and kids and '93 Bronco.
Never turned radio on, and had NO IDEA anything was going on.

When the first plane hit, drinking coffee and about to leave for work. At my office when the second plane hit and when the Pentagon was attacked.

I remember it like it was yesterday.

Getting rdy to go to town for lunch w my wife.

Getting morning brief at Bear mountain wildfire in WA spent next 2 weeks with no air support got hot.

Was looking for a young coonhound that didn't come in from the night before after a training session.very sad day in history.cant imagine what people are thinking to take so many innocent lives and the lasting effects it will have on people for years to come.

I was at Work Sporting Goods Manager.
it felt like the start of WW3 was happening.

My whole crew were working a double trying to get a bad top drilled and blasted. We all got the alarms to get top side. Spent the rest of the day watching a TV in the Locker room. We were all apalled at what was happening. How long before it all goes down again? I mean with open Borders we know for a fact that Terrorists have come in. Some caught but certainly not all.

Hunting Caribou on the Manitoba/Nunavut border. Stranded in Manitoba for a couple of days due to no flying restrictions. Outfitter had a satellite phone and his wife called to let us know what was going on.

Did what I could to get my biology students through the day.

Fishing for silvers on the Quilcene River on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington.

Just arrived at regional office in middle Ga for DNR meeting . The topic of the meeting got sidetracked that day.

Was working as a truck driver for a construction company. On the way to a lumber yard, heard it all play out on the radio. At lumber place, they had set up a TV. Myself and others watched a while, stunned. Wife was home, not working, we were expecting our 1st. Remember thinking our baby won't grow up in the same world I did. That night we went to our church for a prayer meeting, it was a full house.

Had gotten home at 1:30 a.m. from a successful bear hunt in northern Wisconsin. Sept. 11 is also our wedding anniversary. Was up getting ready for work when the first plane hit. Kept watching and when the second hit I looked at my wife and said "We're under effing attack." Promptly started putting together go bags, camping gear, and ammo.
