Chewy will never see a dime from me, but that is my choice. Price alone is not the only reason I consider when spending money. If where I spend can help or hurt an organization or business, that plays a part, as well. In the case of a "worst offender" like HSUS, I would do almost anything to deprive them of ammo used against me.
Just doing what I want now.

I'm glad I asked this question before I placed an order.

It's not a matter of just politics. HSUS is actively trying to ban hunting and trapping in this country. Why in the world would any sportsman support a group that helps them to accomplish that? The worst part is that they're funneling the money of hunting-dog-owning sportsmen to a group that is working to ban those hunting dogs.
You find nothing wrong with that?
Thanks yote

I am asking this because I want to know because I do not support any anti hunting /trapping group if I can help it. I read the link posted here and it says:
"Chewy is donating $1 million to expand food support for people and pets living in underserved communities through the HSUS's Pets for Life (PFL) and Rural Area Veterinary Services (RAVS) programs."
It say nothing about any money going directly to HSUS for their group or cause. Can someone inform me if the money is used for something other than stated above? IMO, "Sportsmen" have created / caused more anti-hunting and trapping detriment to us than any group or organization through greed, morals, ethics, and reputation, etc. "We" already know who dislikes us, and we know who supports us, but our concern should be those groups / orgs that are lurking in the shadows and as of yet unknown and those that haven't formed an opinion yet. . Getting stabbed in the back is one thing, the shock comes when you turn around and see who is doing the stabbing PS, I requested a list of groups / orgs that Chewy funds are going to, to be sent to me if possible. We'll see if I get a response and if so, I'll post it.

They sell training scent and duck/pheasant throwing dummies. I don't see how that is trying to "ban" hunting dogs.

Does the association with the HSUS make any of you think twice about huying from them? Other than I expect Alaska viking. I quit them.

So the way I read this after thinking about it some:
"Chewy is donating $1 million to expand food support for people and pets living in underserved communities through the HSUS's Pets for Life (PFL) and Rural Area Veterinary Services (RAVS) programs."
Chewy is donating food and veterinary supplies to be distributed thru the HSUS. Not $$$. I am sure its a write off for them and a part of their marketing to gain more business. I look at it this way, they take in billions of dollars in donations a year. Less than 1% goes to animal shelters. Same with ASPCA , Yet they have off shore accounts where they keep the money for their retirement , and their huge salaries . Let alone the TV ads that last for a few minutes is a scam in process . I wonder if they're one and the same, as HSUS hasn't had TV ads in a few years now. Either way , I won't trust them or anyone that supports them. As far as a tax write off , they could find plenty of others to donate to. And it does read $1 million to expand food support , there's no where that it says they donate food or any kind of supplies. It just says $ 1 million and where it's supposed to go to. I can almost bet that only 1% of that $ 1 million goes to anything in regards to food or supplies.
